It is imperative that the mobility device is inspected by an
authorized provider before being used again after being
involved in a crash. Alterations to the mobility device
anchoring points may not be carried out without the
manufacturer's permission.
8.3.1 How the wheelchair is anchored in a vehicle
The mobility device is fitted with four
tie-down points. Snap hooks or belt loops
can be used for fixation. If the wheelchair
can be used as a vehicle seat, these tie-down
points are labelled with the symbol shown
on the right.
