The ability to pump out the contents of the Holding Tank into a dockside facility is provided by the
Waste Pump-Out Deck Plate. The Deck Plate is mounted on the Starboard Side of the boat and
is marked WASTE.
When in areas where overboard discharge of the holding tank is permitted, the tank can be
emptied using the Holding Tank Macerator Pump. This pump is controlled by the push button
switch located under the Starboard Deck Hatch just aft of the head.
NOTE
Impeller pumps will destroy its impeller if allowed to run dry for a relatively short period of time. It
is for this reason that the Macerator Pump switch has a momentary action. To activate the pump
the switch handle must be held to the ON position. Releasing the switch handle allows the switch
to return to the OFF position. The noise of the pump will change distinctly once it begins to run
dry. Once this change is noticed, allow the switch to return to the OFF position.
