BATTERY
DANGER:
The Battery emits explosive gases; flame is
strictly prohibited. The Battery contains sulfuric
acid (electrolyte) which can cause serious
burns, so be careful not to make contact with
your eyes or skin. If you get battery acid on
your skin, wash it off immediately with water.
If you get battery acid in your eyes, flush it out
immediately with water and then see a doctor.
Keep all flames and sparks, including
cigarettes, away from the battery.
Notice:
•
The battery requires maintenance.
•
Check the battery terminals and distilled water
levels monthly.
•
Do not allow any battery cell to run dry.
•
Keeping the battery terminals coated with
dielectric grease or petroleum jelly will prolong its
life.
•
When connecting the battery, connect the red wire
first with the mark (+) and the black wire with the
mark (-) of the battery. Be aware that reversing the
battery lead wires can harm your UTV, the battery
and\or the charging system.
When charging the battery:
•
Keep your work area well ventilated.
•
Disconnect the vehicle from battery terminals.
•
Use 1.8A current for 5-10 hours.
•
The maximum charging rate is 9A x 1 hour.
