Bleeding the Kohler 1000 Diesel
Fuel System
1.
Unscrew the union bolt connected to the pipe coming
from the injection pump overflow.
2.
Replace two copper seals of union bolts. Re-tighten
union bolt, paying attention not to make contact with
gasket surfaces.
3.
Turn the ignition key to first position to power the
solenoid valve or the power supply pump.
4.
Operate fuel pump with lever on mechanical feeding
pump.
5.
Do NOT manually operate the fuel pump with the
engine running.
6.
After bleeding the system, tighten the union bolt on
the fuel filter securely.
NEW VEHICLE BREAK-IN
The break-in period for your new Intimidator is the first
25 hours. No single action on your part is more important
than ensuring your vehicle has a proper “break-in.” Careful
treatment of any new engine will result in more efficient
performance and longer life for the engine.
NOTICE:
The first three hours of operation are the most
sensitive. Do not operate at full throttle or high speeds for
extended periods during this time.
