Start up procedure:
o
Cool Mode:
Press the On/Off button on the remote. An audible
“BEEP”
should be heard. The louvers should open and the indoor fan should start.
o
Press the
mode button to set the mode to “COOL”.
o
Change the set point temperature to read “61º”.
o
After approximately 3 minutes the condenser fan and compressor should
start, assuming that the indoor air temperature is above 61º.
o
After approximately 10 minutes the temperature differential of the indoor
unit (∆T) should be at least 25º.
o
Heat Mode:
Press the mode button to set the mode to “HEAT”. Change
the set point temperature to read “86º”.
o
After approximately 3 minutes the condenser fan and compressor should
start, assuming that the indoor air temperature is below 86º.
o
Indoor fan WILL NOT START until the indoor coil temperature is
approximately 10 ºF above room temperature.
o
After approximately 10 minutes, the temperature differential of the indoor
unit (∆T) should be at least 20 ºF.
Most Common Installation Errors:
- Wiring mistakes
- Defrost cable not installed
- Leaks
- Foreign material / moisture in lines
Troubleshooting for new installations:
- Check operation without low ambient kit or condensate pump first.
- Disconnect any of these devices prior to troubleshooting.
- Check for proper input voltage.
- Check wiring connections.
- Check wiring at indoor unit.
- Check for proper remote control settings.

95 DEGREES OUTSIDE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SHOULD READ APPROXIMATELY 143 PSI FOR R-410a AND
APPROXIMATELY 82 PSI FOR R-22 SYSTEMS UNDER NORMAL OPERATION. INDOOR UNT SHOULD PROVIDE A TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIAL OF
APPROXIMATELY 20 DEGREES F.
