SR61T Tethered Scanner User’s Guide

RS-232 Interface

The SR61T can be connected to a host using one of the RS-232 cables.
Power is provided either by the host or by the external power supply
connected to the RS-232 cable. See the

“Required Accessories” on

for a list of part numbers for the different cables.

Connecting an RS-232 Cable

To connect with an RS-232 cable

1

Turn off your host device.

2

Connect the RS-232 cable to your SR61T and the host.

3

Connect the power supply to the cable and an AC power outlet if
you are using the externally powered RS-232 cable.
