Hardware/software protocols timeout

The same timeout value applies to all the RS-232 protocols supported by the MicroBar NX:

•

ENQ / ACK / NAK software protocol,

•

XON / XOFF software protocol,

•

RTS / CTS hardware protocol.

1000 ms (*)

Unlimited Timeout (value = 0)

Compose timeout

Compose Timeout (minimum = 1 ms, maximum = 2500 ms)

Example

To set a hardware and software timeout of 2 seconds (= 2000 ms):

1. Scan Compose Timeout.

2. Scan the desired value in milliseconds—in our example we would scan

(

Number codes or inside back cover of this manual).

3. Scan End Selection to finish.
