Fault Management
This diagnostic page is used for VDSL PTM mode only. The 802.1ag allows an operator to
detect, locate and verify faults for an Ethernet service. The connectivity check protocol is able
to monitor the services continuously through periodically exchanging message to verify
connectivity at a maintenance domain.

Global Setting:
Select the Maintenance Domain (MD) Level from the list. The MD level determines the
device that is interested in the contents of the CFM (Connectivity Fault Management)
frame and which the CFM frame is allowed to pass through.
Enter the Destination MAC Address
Enter the 802.1Q VLAN ID
Click Set MD Level
.
Click Send Loopback. It is used to do the fault verification and provides the on-demand
or proactive Ethernet network topology information
Click Send Linktrace. It is used to do the fault isolation and provides on-demand or
proactive indication about the address of remote defected device
