The platform instrumentation control component of Intel
®
Server Management version 5.5 supports configuring
individual sensors to provide a system ID alert. This is part of the light-guided diagnostics feature set integrated into
many Intel server products, and provides a simple visual identifier for a troubled server.
To configure system ID alerting, use the Alert Actions tab for each individual and select the ID LED Alert notification.
Setting an ID LED Alert causes the system’s ID LED to be turned on or off when an event occurs, depending on which
check box (LED On or LED Off) you select in the Alert Actions tab.
