Slimline Optical Drive Carrier
The slimline optical drive carrier can be used with a single slimline optical drive. One slimline
carrier is included with your server system; the optical drive must be purchased separately.
The drive in the optical drive carrier is NOT hot-swappable. The system power must be turned off to
insert or remove the slimline optical drive carrier. For instructions on installing an optical drive, see

To use one of the drives provided by Intel

, use the following order codes:
Slimline DVD-ROM Drive: AXXSATADVDROM
Slimline DVD-RW Drive: AXXSATADVDRWROM

Bezel
The front bezel is available as optional accessory for the server system:

Hot-Swap SAS/SATA Backplane
The Hot-Swap SAS/SATA backplane serves as an interface between the mother board and the
system drives. The following diagrams show the location for each connector found on
the backplane.
