Optional Modules
(TX & FX)
Module Functions
The Ethernet and Fiber Modules act as a switched port when plugged into
an Express 330T Hub. The modules enable the hubs to:
• Connect to another device at full duplex (such as a server or switch).
• Expand network diameter (TX: 100m, FX: 160m-2km).
• Bridge 10Mbps and 100Mbps segments.
• Create separate collision domains.
The Modules are installed in the Module A slot on the back of the hub. You
can install a module for each hub in a stack. The Express 330T will not
accept modules from the Express 200 series hubs.
Module A LEDs
The LEDs are located on the front of the hub over ports 9-16. These LEDs
provide information about the Fiber or Ethernet module such as the
module’s status, port activity, speed, and duplex mode.
