Chapter 3 – Setting up the Gateway with a Network

2002 Intel Corporation

Step-by-step

To connect the gateway to a hub or switch:

Connect one end of the Ethernet cable (included with
the gateway) to any one of the four

Ethernet

ports on

the gateway.

Connect the other end to the Ethernet cable to an
available port on your hub or switch.

Connect the power cable to the power supply.

Connect the power cable to an electrical wall outlet.

Connect the power supply cable to the

Power

port on

the gateway.

Note

If you are using the gateway as a DHCP server,
make sure the computers on your network are
configured to be DHCP clients. Refer to Chapter
5 for information.
