(D)  JP9: Clear Power On Password

In case that you forget the Power On password which you had selected in the
BIOS setup program and you can not start your PC system, you can always use
JP11 to clear the Power On Password..

How to use JP9 to clear the Power On Password:

1.

 

Unplug the AC power cable from the PC system.

2.

 

Open the cabinet of the PC system.

3.

 

Make the short connection on JP9 by using a mini jumper.

4.

 

After 3 ~ 5 seconds, remove the mini jumper from JP9.

5.

 

Close the cabinet and Re-connect the AC power cable.

6.

 

Power on the PC system and then run BIOS setup program to
reconfigure the PC system.

IMPORTANT:

When you have used JP9 to clear the Power On password, the BIOS
setting which is saved in the CMOS memory will be cleared as well. So
please run the BIOS setup program to configure the parameters of the PC
system, or use “Load Optimized Defaults” and have the optimized
parameters loaded into the BIOS setup program.
