2.3.1
Data services via the serial interface
The serial interface is available for the configuration of the INSYS GSM or for the data
connection to the terminal device.
The serial interface has the following characteristics:

Interface terminal adapter (TA) – terminal station (terminal equipment, TE)

Compatible with RS232 (V.24/V.28)
¾
Extended data formats (10 and 11 bit)
¾
Baud rates: 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 14400, 19200, 28800, 38400, 57600,
115200 bps
The standard setting is 19200 bps

No automatic baud rate adaptation (command
AT**BAUD
)

Data Connection via the GSM network
The INSYS GSM is designed for the system environment of mobile networks with
900 MHz and 1800 MHz according to ETSI GSM phase 2/2+. Accessing a GSM network
requires a SIM card of a network provider.
The data connection has the following characteristics:
