PPPoA Configuration
The INSYS ADSL 1.1 is pre-configured for bridge operation (for PPPoE). For a
PPPoA (PPP over ATM) operation, it is necessary to configure the PPPoA connec-
tion. Please refer to your ISP to obtain the required settings or access data.
Configuration of the PPPoA connection
You are connected to the management interface
1.
Set the IP address to 192.2.0.1:
ip 192.2.0.1
The packets that arrive at the PC or router, will always have 192.2.0.1
as sender address.
2.
Enable PPPoA:
pppoa 1
3.
Enter the PPP user name:
ppp_user <username>
4.
Enter the PPP password:
ppp_pass <password>
5.
Save the new settings:
save
6.
Restart the INSYS ADSL 1.1:
restart
7.
Set the IP address of the connected PC or router to 192.2.0.2 (subnet
mask 255.255.255.0).
8.
Set the default gateway address of the PC or router to the IP address
192.2.0.1.
9.
Configure a DNS server for the PC or router.
