If you want to dial a fax device, the
INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1 must
be changed to fax mode before. This
is accomplished with the command
AT+FCLASS=1
If the remote terminal accepts the
connection, the INSYS Modem 56k
small EU 2.1 indicates
CONNECT
If the remote terminal is busy, the
INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1 indi-
cates
BUSY
If the remote terminal is no modem,
the INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1
indicates after the remote terminal
has picked up
NO CARRIER
If the INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1
does not receive a dial tone after pick-
ing up before dialling, it indicates
NO DIALTONE
If the INSYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1
is connected to a
telephone system
, it
may be possible that no dial tone, but
a different acoustical signal is audible
after picking up.
To configure the INSYS Modem 56k
small EU 2.1 that it
does not wait for
a dial tone before dialling
, use the
following command before dialling
ATX3
In order to
change to command mode
during a data connection, use the es-
cape sequence
No data must be transmitted for 1
second before and after that the IN-
SYS Modem 56k small EU 2.1 changes
to command mode.
