12. Using the Optional Car Seat Adapter

There is an optional car seat adapter that can be purchased from Instep.  To

install the car seat adapter, you must first remove the child tray (see step 6 to re-

move tray).  The car seat adapter will attach in a similar manner as the child tray.

Guide the car seat adapter tabs into the slots on the stroller frame.  Push until the

tabs click into place (Figure 12)

8. Using the Brakes

Step down on to the red levers on both rear wheels (Figure 8).  Make sure that

the stroller is stopped before engaging the brakes.  Both brakes must be locked.

Push the stroller to insure that the wheels are locked.  Lift up on the levers to

unlock brakes.

9. Adjusting the Seat

To recline the seat, squeeze the adjuster tabs together and pull the adjuster

out until the seat lowers to the desired height (Figure 9).  To raise seat upright,

squeeze the adjuster tabs again and slide it back up the strings until the seat is at

the desired position.

WARNING!  Do not adjust the seat position when your child is in the stroller.

10. Using the Safety Harness

Place child in the seat. Make sure the T-shield rests between the child’s legs.

When the child is seated, place the shoulder straps over the child’s shoulders.

Nest the two buckle parts together. Place the male end of the buckle into the

female end. Press until it clicks in place. Note the two parts must be nested to be

secure. Check to make sure they are secure. (Figure 10.b) Ensure the child’s waist

and shoulder straps are secure by adjusting the webbing at the clips near the

shoulders. (Figure 10.c)

WARNING!

Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out.  ALWAYS use the har-

ness.  Check frequently to make sure it is secure.  Failure to follow these instruc-

SHOULDER HARNESS

The shoulder straps for the harness are adjustable depending on

the size of your child. The shoulder straps are used with a loop

system that puts the straps at 2 different sizes. (Fig11.a and 11.b),

The smallest length of strap is able to be used for smaller children.

If more slack is needed back the strap out from the lowest setting

and insert it fully into the higher setting.
