The Dictionary includes Dictionary 1 and Dictionary 2. In Dictionary
1, Sentence Translation and many English, Chinese and Foreign
Dictionaries are included, e.g. Eng-Chi Dictionary, The New Oxford
English Chinese Dictionary, Jap-Chi Dictionary, etc. In Dictionary 2,
there are many common dictionaries besides Professional Dictionary
and Chi-Chi Dictionary, e.g. Illustrated Dictionary, Vocabulary and
Conversation. The detailed functions are as follows:
Dictionary 1
2.1 English-Chinese Dictionary
The dictionary offers phonetic symbols and Chinese explanations of
English words and phrases, which can be searched out by inputting
them or by sequential search. You can also view the grammar informa-
tion, such as Synonym, Antonym, Example and so on. Cross-search to
The New Oxford English Chinese Dictionary and Chi-Eng Dictionary is
available in this dictionary. And you can also listen to the English, Man-
darin and Cantonese pronunciation.
Note: The picture, syllable or animation corresponding to some words
can be viewed.
2.1.1 General Search
Input the first letter of the desired
word, a list of nearest words will
be automatically displayed on the
screen. Press [F1Half] to display the
DJ phonetic symbol, KK phonetic
symbol and explanations of the high-
lighted word in one single screen.
