Transfer files

Connect a data storage device or data transfer cable to move files between
devices.

Move files with a data storage device

Connect a data storage device (such as a micro SD card) to your tablet.

Open the File Explorer to copy or move files to your data storage device.

for instructions on how to

safely eject your storage device from your tablet, and then connect it to
your second device to move the files.

Move files with a data transfer cable

Connect a data transfer cable (not included) to your tablet and a second
device.

You cannot use a charging cable to transfer files.

copying, moving, and deleting files.

Safely eject a data storage device

Tap

on the right side of the taskbar, and then tap (Safely Remove

Hardware).

Note

If you are in tablet mode and you don't see the

safely remove hardware icon, touch and hold the taskbar,

and then tap

Show all notification icons

Tap your device in the list, and then disconnect your data storage device
when your tablet says it is safe.
