1.2 Recommended System Requirements

The computer used to access the EN6080 area control gateway

should meet

the following requirements:

• Windows® 7 operating system or later.
• Mozilla® Firefox® version 35 or later; Internet Explorer® version 11 or

later.

• Wired Ethernet interface.
• Minimum MTU 1280 bytes

1.3 EN6080 Area Control Gateway Initial Setup and
Connection

1.3.1 Disable Delayed ACK Mode on the Windows® 7 Operating
System

The EN6080 area control gateway currently does not respond to the delayed
ACK mode of operation that some Windows 7 machines use. Microsoft has
provided a fix for this as outlined below. A future revision of the EN6080
software will eliminate the need for this fix.
To disable delayed ACK mode in Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or above:
