IW25-4 IN Wall Dehumidifier | Exterior Sleeve Installation
The IW25-4 In Wall Dehumidifier can be semi-recessed with an Exterior Sleeve for a clean bump out finish, where
unit cannot be fully installed through 2 x 4 walls, ideal for retrofit applications. When using the Exterior Sleeve only
one side of wall will need to be cut for the rough opening. The Exterior sleeve is not covered under the IW25-4
Dehumidifier Warranty. Exterior Sleeve is not compatible with the IW25-4 ON Wall Dehumidifier.
Exterior Sleeve Dimensions: 17.5” W x 30.5” H x 2.2” D
Installation:
1.
Follow steps 5-7 from the Installation and Operation
Manual: IW25-4 Dehumidifier IN Wall (pages 6-8)

Once step 7 is complete, there will be Rough Opening
to partially recess the IW25-4 through the wall. Insert
the Exterior Sleeve into the Rough Opening. Make sure
the pop-out for drain/power are at bottom of unit.

Ensure the Exterior Sleeve is level and bottom of the
IW25-4 will be supported. Attach Exterior Sleeve with 4
screws (not provided) directly through wall into studs.

Continue to Step 8 of the In Wall installation
instructions.
5.
In Step 10 of the In Wall installation instructions, use
the four screws (included with the Exterior Sleeve) to
attach the mounting tabs to the Exterior Sleeve.
6.
Continue installation instructions in manual from step
11 to finish installation.

Allows optimum fit of the unit to cover by having the extra
vertical clearance gained by starting the angle lower. By starting
flange lower, it is naturally wider.
