• Message Protocol
With this menu, you can use a network messaging service which offers you the facility of
converting your text messages into alternative formats (
Text

Fax
,
Voicemail
,
ERMES
,
Paging
,
X.400
or
Internet
).
Note
All formats may not be available on all networks.
• Connection Type
You can select which connection will be used for sending or receiving SMS
CS Only
: Only Circuit Switch Connection will be used.
CS Only CS Only
CS Preferred
: If Circuit Switch connection and GPRS connection are possible,
Circuit Switch connection will be used at first. If failed, GPRS connection
will be used.
GPRS Only : Only GPRS Connection will be used. GPRS Only GPRS Only
GPRS Preferred : If Circuit Switch connection and GPRS connection are possible,
GPRS connection will be used at first. If failed, Circuit Switch
connection will be used.
• Status
You can identify the memory use for SMS message in your SIM card and your phone
memory.
<Distribution Lists>
If you send messages often to a fixed group of recipients, you can define a distribution
list containing those recipients and use this list when sending a message. You can define
up to 10 distribution lists, each containing up to 20 recipients. Distribution lists are stored
in your phone memory.
If you select
<Distribution Lists>,
then you can see all lists that you made before. If it
is empty, you can make a list by using [ Option soft key], which are composed of View
list , Add list , Edit list , Delete list and Delete all options.
View list : to view the recipients in the selected distribution list
If you select the [
Option
soft key], you can edit the content of the selected distribution list.
Add
: to add a recipient to the selected distribution list.
Delete : to delete the selected recipient.
View : to view the information of the selected recipient.
Add list : to add a new distribution list.
Edit list
: to edit the selected distribution list.
Delete list
: to delete the selected distribution list.
Delete all : to delete all the distribution lists.
