Programming Example
Program output No. 2 to report open and close, with close
HIGH
(12 volts) and open
LOW
(0 volts):
It will be noted from Table 8 that output No. 2 is already assigned as the alarm output. This condition first
needs to be disabled from output 2 before a new condition may be assigned otherwise
CLOSE
,
OPEN
and
ALARM
will all be assigned to Programmable Output 2. A
[0]
should be programmed into location 678 in
order to disable the alarm function from output 2.
The location for a close instruction is location 675. From Table 7 it will be noted that a value of
[7]
programmed into this location will cause output 2 to go high. This output will remain high until the
appropriately programmed value gives the instruction for this output to be set low. It will be noted that
location 676 corresponds to an open condition. From Table 7 it will be noted that a value of
[12]
will drive
output 2 low. Therefore if a value of
[12]
is programmed into location 676 output 2 will be set low on an open
condition.
NOTE
:
Since multiple conditions may be programmed to a single output It is essential to ensure that no unwanted
conditions are assigned to the same output.
