NOTE
• Motors may or may not have sealed bearings.
• Examine all motors for grease fittings.
• Not all motors have bearings that require grease.
MOTORS WITH GREASE FITTINGS
If grease fittings are present, remove the drain plug and add grease until it begins to exit from the drain. Allow the unit to run
for a few minutes before replacing the plug. Refer to the motor data plate for quantity and type of grease.
Service intervals:
• Grease at 3,000 hours or as indicated on the motor data plate.
• Strip, clean and re-grease or replace bearings at 18,000 hours.
MOTORS WITHOUT GREASE FITTINGS
Motors without grease fittings have sealed bearings. These bearing should be replaced every 4 years or 18,000 hours,
whichever occurs first.
