Controller
1.
Prepare the unit for installation.
a. Disconnect all power from the unit.
b. Remove the compressor and control box access
panel(s).
c. Ensure that the capacitor has discharged stored
voltage.
2. Refer to

mounting location and position of the controller within
the unit.
3. Mount the controller in the appropriate position using
the two number 8-32 screws provided.
Transducer and Tee
WARNING
Hazardous Voltage w/Capacitors!
Disconnect all electric power, including remote
disconnects and discharge all motor start/run
capacitors before servicing. Follow proper lockout/
tagout procedures to ensure the power cannot be
inadvertently energized. Verify with an appropriate
voltmeter that all capacitors have discharged. Failure to
disconnect power and discharge capacitors before
servicing could result in death or serious injury.
WARNING
Ground Wire!
All field-installed wiring must be completed by
qualified personnel. All field-installed wiring must
comply with NEC and applicable local codes. Failure to
follow this instruction could result in death or serious
injuries.

WARNING
R-410A Refrigerant under Higher Pressure
than R-22!
The unit described in this manual uses R-410A
refrigerant which operates at higher pressures than R-
22 refrigerant. Use ONLY R-410A rated service
equipment or components with this unit. For specific
handling concerns with R-410A, please contact your
local Trane representative. Failure to use R-410A rated
service equipment or components could result in
equipment or components exploding under R-410A
high pressures which could result in death, serious
injury, or equipment damage.

Equipment Damage!
Must route all wires away from hot tubes and/or sharp
edges.
