11.0 Warranty
WARRANTY STATEMENT
All products manufactured by Ingenia Industries Inc. (“Ingenia”) and used in Canada or in the continental Unit-
ed States of America are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ONE (1)
YEAR from start-up or EIGHTEEN (18) MONTHS from shipment, whichever comes first.
Ingenia will, at its option, repair or replace the product, or any part thereof, found in its opinion to be defective,
provided the defective part or product is returned to Ingenia. Notwithstanding the preceding, the present war-
ranty shall not be construed as obligating Ingenia to pay the shipping charges or any labor or service costs for
removing, replacing or reinstalling the product or any part thereof, the whole of which will be at the sole charge
of the end user.
The warranty applies to the original owner of the product only and is non-transferable. The warranty does not
cover expendable items such as filters and belts nor field accessories added to the product after shipment and
factory-installed components provided to the factory by the end-user or sales agent which must be warranted
separately by their respective manufacturers. Failure to store the product in weatherproof facilities or otherwise
comply with the instructions supplied in the operation manual will void all corresponding warranty obligations.
This warranty is not valid in cases where the product has been abused, misused, altered or mishandled, where
unauthorized repairs have been attempted or performed, or where depreciation of the product is due to normal
usage.
Prior to the return of any product or part, a Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number must be obtained by
writing to Ingenia Industries Inc., Customer Service Department, 18101, J.A. Bombardier, Mirabel, Quebec, J7J
2H8,
or by calling (450) 979-1212. To obtain a RMA Number, Ingenia must
receive a written statement detailing the nature of the claimed defect, as well as the owner's name, address,
phone number, the serial number of the product as well as the serial number of the part, where applicable, and
the shipping contact and co-ordinates. Each returned part or product must be identified with its corresponding
RMA Number.
Attached to the present warranty is a preliminary requirement by the end user to report start-up information.
The registration form, a sample of which is included hereafter, must be completed and returned to Ingenia no
later than TEN (10) DAYS following original equipment start-up. Should the end user fail to return the registra-
tion form, the date of start-up will be presumed to be the shipment date thereby terminating the warranty
TWELVE (12) MONTHS thereafter.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ingenia disclaims special, incidental or consequential damages or lost
profits, which may result from the use of, or the inability to use this product or from a breach of this warranty.
The warranties set forth herein are in lieu of, and exclusive of, any other warranties, expressed or implied, in-
cluding but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for particular use.
No person, agent, sales representative, dealer or distributor is authorized to expand Ingenia’s obligations be-
yond the terms of this express warranty or to state that the performance of the product is other than that pub-
lished by Ingenia.
