Problem Possible Cause Remedy
Steering not accurate - Wheels not aligned in frame - Align wheels correctly
- Headset loose or binding - Adjust/tighten headset
- Front forks or frame bent - Take bike to a bike shop for possible
frame realignment
Frequent punctures - Inner tube old or faulty - Replace inner tube
- Tire tread/casing worn - Replace tire
- Tire unsuited to rim - Replace with correct tire
- Tire not checked after previous
puncture
- Remove sharp object embedded in tire
- Tire pressure too low - Correct tire pressure
- Spoke protruding into rim - File down spoke
