Installation of the Double “T” fitting
FOR USE WITH LAP/SASH VEHICLE SEAT
BELTS - IN BOTH REARWARD AND FORWARD
MODES.
TO INSTALL Once adult lap/sash seat belt is positioned through restraint
base
(refer installation instructions)
and secured into its buckle, pull the
sash (shoulder) section webbing through base towards you in the direction
of the large arrow on the sketches. When tight, feed edges of the double
seat belt webbing into DOUBLE “T” FITTING.
(as in illustration)
The lap section is now tightly holding your child restraint in place
independent of sash section as shown in illustration.
If it is non-retractor, lap/sash seat belt tighten the sash section.
WARNING:
ENSURE WEBBING PASSES THROUGH THE DOUBLE “T”
FITTING WITH NO WRINKLES OR PUCKERS. THE CAR SEAT SHOULD
NOW BE REASONABLY SECURE ON THE SEAT.
USE WITh LAP BELT ONLY (NORMALLY CENTRE SEAT POSITION)
This applies to the forward, or rearward facing models.
(1) Buckle adult lap belt reasonably thigh through the restraint base (refer
installation instructions)
(2) Release the seat belt buckle.
(3) Reduce the adult lap belt length by another 25mm. (While doing this,
it may make it easier to move the car seat to one side)
(4) Position the double “T” fitting on the double section of the seat belt
webbing by feeding edges of the double section into the double “T”
fitting.
(see figures 1 and 2)
(5) Pass the adult seat belt through the restraint base and secure the
adult seat belt buckle (it may require a little pressure on the care seat
into the vehicle seat when doing up the buckle to ensure it is secured
firmly. If necessary the seat belt can be tightened by more than 25mm
to hinder movement of the care seat.
(6) Complete installation according to the installation instructions.
