Introduction:
The patent-pending Human Floor Lift (HFL) is a class of human lifts unlike any other available. This
family of products has been designed to assist individuals who have fallen to the floor and are unable
to get up without assistance. The rugged and reliable IndeeLift HFL is a purpose-built appliance made
in the USA with UL and ETL certified components and is available in either residential, commercial or
emergency services models.
The HFL-400-P/550-P are commercial grade Human Floor Lifts designed for professional health care
providers. These appliances are capable of lifting a person from the floor without risk of injury to the
caregiver or the patient. As a fall recovery appliance, the HFLs are extremely maneuverable and their
small footprint allows fall recovery to occur in even the tightest of places. The HFLs replace large and
cumbersome sling-style lifts, helping patients recover their feet quickly while greatly reducing the
associated risks.
Overview:
This manual covers the HFL- 400-P and the HFL-550-P. Both models provide the same basic features,
functions and operational characteristics with the exception of rated capacity (or as noted). The HFL-
400-P is engineered to lift a person of up to 400 pounds or 181kg. The HFL-550-P is engineered to lift
a person weighing up to 550 pounds or 250kg
.
They will be referred to as “HFLs” throughout this
manual.
The HFLs operating mechanism is a linear actuator powered by a 24V DC rechargeable battery pack
and operated with a wired remote control in a portable “roll-around” configuration. The HFL-400-P
and HFL-550-P are designed for professional health care providers including hospitals, assisted living
and Skilled Nursing facilities. These state-of-the-art products were developed specifically to eliminate
floor-lift related injuries to health care professionals and their fallen patients. Once up from the floor,
the patient can take a deep breath and rest comfortably until they are ready to stand up and walk
away or be directly transferred to a wheelchair.
IndeeLift is revolutionizing patient care by doing the heavy lifting so the caregiver doesn’t have to risk
injury to either party. Simply put, IndeeLift’s HFLs for professional healthcare eliminate injuries
related to fall recovery!
