4.5 Setting the microphone sensitivity
1) Switch on the audio unit (e. g. mixer, amplifier)
connected to the receiver. Speak / sing into the
microphone and set the audio system to such a
volume that the subsequent setting can be
heard well.
2) Press the button SET (6) three times so that the
numerals of “VOL” start flashing.
3) While the numerals keep flashing (5 seconds
after pressing the button SET,
or
), set the
microphone sensitivity with the button
or
(5). There are four setting levels: -30 dB,
-20 dB, -10 dB, 00 dB
Note:
If the numerals stop flashing before you have set
the sensitivity, press the button SET three times again.
If the volume of the microphone signal is too
high or if the signal is distorted, reduce the sen-
sitivity. If the volume of the signal is too low, how-
ever, a poor signal-to-noise ratio results. In this
case, advance the control accordingly.
4) Once the numerals stop flashing, the setting has
been stored.
