requency”) for the volume

of the audio signal received [independent of the
volume control (1)]: the longer the bar graph, the
higher the volume level

c

indication RF (“

re -

ceived power of the radio signal: the longer the
bar graph, the better the reception

d

battery status indication: indicates the charging
status of the batteries of the transmitter

e

indication PEAK for the audio signal received:
should only shortly light up with signal peaks; if it
lights up permanently, the audio signal is over -
loaded

f

indication FREQ.: flashes in the adjusting mode
“FREQ.” (manual frequency adjustment)

g

reception indication

or

: indicates which of

the two receiving parts of the unit respectively
receives the more powerful radio signal

h

indication MUTE: indicates that the receiver is
muted because it receives either a radio signal
which is too poor or no radio signal at all

i

indication of the frequency adjusted

3

Key SET for recalling and exiting the adjusting
modes “FREQ.” (manual frequency adjustment

chapter 5.1.1) and “SCAN” (automatic frequen -

Safety Notes

The units (receiver and power supply unit) correspond
to all required directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with

.

It is essential to observe the following items:

G

The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).

G

Do not set the receiver into operation, or immedi -
ately disconnect the power supply unit from the
mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the units or to the

mains supply cable,

2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or simi-

lar accident,

3. malfunctions occur.
The units must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.

G

A damaged mains cable of the power supply unit
must only be replaced by the manufacturer or by
skilled personnel.

G

Never pull the mains cable of the power supply unit
to disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket,
always seize the plug.

G

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.

G

No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the units are used for other  pur   -
pos es than originally intended, if they are not cor-

expert way.

G

Important for U. K. Customers!

The wires in the mains lead of the power supply unit
are coloured in accord ance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con nect -

ed to the terminal in the plug which is  marked with
the letter N or coloured black.
