Solution
The appliance does
not go on.
The household appliance is
not on
Verify that the appliance is connected
correctly to the power cord and the ON/
OFF button (4) is pressed.
The plate
temperature LED
(10) goes on and off.
Normal procedure.
The plate temperature LED (10) goes
on and off intermittently while ironing,
indicating that the appliance maintains the
optimal temperature.
Smoke comes out of
the appliance when it
is switched on for the
first time.
This is absolutely normal and
is due to the expansion of the
plastic material.
This no longer occurs after a while.
Impurities come out
of the plate of the
new iron.
This is perfectly normal in a
new iron.
These particles are completely harmless
and will disappear after the iron is used a
few times.
The appliance does
not produce steam.
The appliance is not on.
Press the ON/OFF button (4).
The steam button (9) is not
being pressed.
Keep the steam button (9) pressed as you
iron.
The water in the boiler has
finished and the no water
LED (3) is on.
Fill the boiler (see chapter Filling the boiler
when hot).
Water leaks from the
plate (8).
The impurities or chemical
substances found in the
water have deposited on the
plate.
Wait for the plate to cool down and clean it
with a damp cloth.
After ironing, steam
comes out of the
boiler safety cap (1).
The boiler safety cap (1)
may have not been closed
correctly or water may have
leaked while being topped-up.
Switch the appliance OFF and let it cool
down. Remove the boiler safety cap (1),
dry the water around the top-up opening
and tighten the cap. The appliance can
then be switched back on.
