INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

BS300 Plus SH  ED.2010 rev.00

22/53

STOP the rear selector, -only for ESC equipped models-) close the vice by the selector (5) and check if jaws
clamp rightly the piece.
 Position the front shaft of blade guide holder 15/RI0074 so that it does not bump against the piece or the
jaws when the saw frame is coming down.
Set the bar, so that it goes over the cutting line, and clamp it; select the motor speed rotation with the selector
3/RI0077- in case it is equipped with select it with the ammeter 7/RI0077 of the ESC. Start the cycle, adjust
the cooling flow that reaches the blade and after the automatic rapid approach, carried out by  the device

1/RI0460 , start the cutting by turning the speed regulator -8/RI0077-.
NEW

– PROGRAMMATION OF THE CUTTING AREA

Thanks to the new device

– position sensor – to detect automatically the start-cut point, the user doesn’t have

to set up the start-cut and end-cut points. The sawframe drops always quickly until the position sensor -
1/RI0460

– touches the material, then the sawframe speed is automatically reduced to the one selected by

the user. The end-cut position can be adjusted by means of the small rod

– 4/RI0460 – of the end-stroke

At the cut end the motor stops and blade goes up again and the cycle finishes. Check up the made cutting.
If you do not close the vice with the control 5/RI0077 before cutting start , the vice closes automatically when
you push the button START 6/RI0077 and it opens again when the band is going up till the maximum height.
The working of this cycle could be also made by ( the foot-pedal , stroke end, relay and so on... ) . The
connection for this synchronisation is already preset on the back wall of the control panel -10/RI0051.

15.2 - MANUAL CYCLE

Without compressed air

 the machine can work as a manual model equipped with saw frame descent brake:

select the MANUAL cycle with the rear selector and start the motor by pushing the button placed inside the
handle 20/RI0074. Logically the vice must be manually manipulated for locking the material. The speed
regulator 8/RI0077 allows to make uniform the pressure made by the operator during the cutting.

15.3 - LOCKING / EMERGENCY LOCKING
At any time it is possible to stop the cycle.
- By pushing the emergency key -2/RI0077 - the cycle stops immediately  and it is not possible to push other
keys before having restored it;
By pushing the main switch 1/RI0077 you turn the current of the machine off  ;
By opening the band guard you move a security stroke end 5/RI0456- that stops the control of the drive circuit
by causing the stopping of the movements;
In case of current breaking the sectionalising switch (1/RI0077) goes to 0 Position and it is necessary to
restore it to make the machine working.

15.4 - ESC = Electronic Speed Control  (if supplied)
The electronic inverter allows to change continuously the blade speed, simply by turning the little knob on the
control box; thus optimizing the blade performance according to the material.
When  the  GREEN  light  is  off,  it  means  the  temporary  block  of  the  device  because  of  excessive  cutting
pressure, unsuited blade speed, too high start-up speed, and so on.
 Switch off the machine, wait about one minute and turn it on again.
