6.2 Parameters
6.2.1 How To Use Telnet

On a Windows PC, click the ‘Start > Run’, type the following and press ‘Return’ to open a DOS dialog box.

Begin a Telnet session by using the system’s IP address and typing the following into the DOS dialog box.
telnet <system IP Address>

The system prompts for a username and password. The following username and password are factory defaults.
username: admin
password: admin

Once a Telnet connection is established, commands listed in the following sections can be directly executed.

Many of the the ‘Command Paths’ in the following sections depict a range of values in square brackets ‘[ ]’.
Configuration/Encapsulator_[1–2]/FEC Type
Substitute one value from the range to create a command string.
Configuration/Encapsulator_1/FEC Type
Configuration/Encapsulator_2/FEC Type
Add an equals sign ‘=’ and value from the ‘Options’ column to complete the command string.
