Cleaning the Optical System
The optical components of the Sportsview Projector should not need
any cleaning apart from being dusted occasionally with a very soft,
dry brush. The lens can be screwed right out for cleaning, and the
condensers and heat filter are mounted in metal slides so that they can
easily be removed. When dusting the mirror it is best to remove the
lamp first.
Any marks that cannot be removed by dusting should be wiped
gently with lens cleaning tissue.
When you replace the optical components, make sure they are in the
correct position and the right way round.
Your Sportsview Projector will not work properly if the heat filter
and condensers are replaced incorrectly. This photograph shows the
optical components in their correct positions when seen from above.
