Before first use
Check the lawnmower and the items supplied
NOTE!
Risk of damage!
Opening the packaging carefully can damage the
lawnmower.

Do not use any sharp objects when opening.
1. Remove the lawnmower from the packaging.
2. Check whether the contents are complete:
• Cordless lawnmower and top bar
• Bottom bar
• Grass collection box
• 2 cable holders
• 2 star grip nuts and screws to attach the bottom
bar
• 2 quick clamps with washers and nuts to attach
the top bar
• 1 x rechargeable battery
• Charging device
• Operating instructions
3. Check whether the lawnmower or the individual parts
is/are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the
lawnmower. Contact the manufacturer at the service
address specified on the guarantee card.
Assembly
• Only carry out tasks that you are confident with.
• If you are unsure, contact a specialist or our custo-
mer service department directly.
Switch the device off, remove the safety key (6)
and wait until the blade comes to a standstill.
• The lawnmower can be operated with either one
or two rechargeable batteries. You can obtain a
second rechargeable battery for a longer usage
period. (See “Spare parts”)
Installing the bottom bar
(Fig. 2)
1. Insert the correct bolts on the device housing (11)
into the holes at the end of the bottom bar (4).
2. Insert the screws (14) through the housing (11) from
the inside and fasten the bottom bar (4) using the
star grip nuts.
Installing the top bar (Fig. 3)
1. Attach the top bar (1) to the left and right of the bottom
bar (4) using the quick clamps, washers and nuts (3)
supplied. The release button (18) must be on the
right side when facing the mowing direction.
2. Lock the quick clamp (3) by pushing it towards the
bar (3). The clamping lever must touch the bar so
that clamping requires moderate force.
3. Clipping in the cable holders: Clip the cable hol-
ders (16) to the top (1) and bottom (4) bar, and use
them to secure the device cable (17).
Folding up the guide bar
Loosen the two quick clamps (3) and fold up the top bar
(1) so that the device requires less space. The device
cables must not get jammed (Fig. 3)
Using the grass collection box (Fig. 5)
1. Ensure that the safety key (6) is removed.
2. Put the three plastic brackets (24) onto the collection
basket bars (25).
3. Open the safety flap (5) above the grass discharge.
4. Left the flap and place the grass collection box on the
grass discharge. Ensure it is tight.
5. Switch the lawnmower on as described in the “Swit-
ching the lawnmower on/off” chapter.
The mown grass is collected in the grass collection
box.
Emptying the grass collection box (Fig. 5)
1. Stop mowing and switch the lawnmower off.
2. Wait until all rotating parts have come to a complete
standstill and the lawnmower has cooled down com-
pletely. Ensure that the safety key (18) is removed.
3. Remove the grass collection box and shake the
grass out.
The device is not permitted to be used without
impact protection or a grass collection box.
There is a danger of injury.
Inserting/removing the rechargeable battery (Fig. 6)
1. Open the battery compartment by lifting the lock and
folding the safety cover (10) upwards (see Fig. 6).
2. Insert the rechargeable battery (21) by guiding it into
the insertion shaft on the rail until it locks in place.
The contacts must be pointing downwards.
3. Close the safety cover again.
In order to be able to remove the battery again, you must
lift the lock.

Handling the lawnmower improperly can cause seri-
ous injuries and damage.

Adjusting the cutting height (Fig. 4)
1. Ensure that the safety key (18) is removed.
2. Push the cutting height adjuster (4) slightly forwards
and then towards the housing. Set it to the required
position.
Lift the lawnmower slightly if required to do so.
Position 1/2 is for particularly short grass (25/35 mm),
position 3/4 is for moderate grass (45/55 mm) and
position 5/6 is for long grass (65/75 mm).
The correct cutting height is approximately 25 - 45 mm
for ornamental lawns and around 45 - 65 mm for grass
that is used. Use a longer cutting height for the first cut
of the season.
3. Push the cutting height adjuster outwards so that it
locks into the required position.
