Current supply and voltage indicator
For transmitter operation 8 AA batteries respectively 8 NiMh od NiCd cells are required. To insert the
batteries, please remove the battery compartment cover. Observe polarity of the non-rechargeable
or rechargeable battery cells. Now close the compartment again.
The voltage indicator actually shows a percentage value of the transmitter batteries voltage. If the
indicator needle drops into the red range, please recharge the rechargeable batteries or replace non-
rechargeable ones.
- If the battery voltage drops below 8.4 Volt (+/- 0.2 Volt) an acoustical warning signal can be heard.
- After 10 minutes of warning signal the transmitter will shut down automatically.
- If the battery voltage is below 8.0 Volt (+/- 0.2 Volt) the transmitter also will shut down automatically.
- I f you are using rechargeable batteries they may be recharged via the charging jack on the right
side of the transmitter. The charging cable # 170000 is required.
Keep the transmitter switched off during charging! Use only suitable chargers.
Attention:
Do NOT exceed 1Amp charge current when charging the transmitter batteries via the
charge jack. NEVER try to charge non-rechargeable batteries!
Transmitter functions and respective servo movements
Before making any adjustments please familiarize yourself with the transmitter functions and the
respective servo movements (in the following instructions we assume that transmitter and receiver
are in operational mode).
Aileron/Roll Function
Moving the aileron/roll stick to the right, the right aileron servo will go up, the left will go down (in
flight direction), and accordingly the helicopter swashplate will tilt to the right. The model airplane
or helicopter will move to the right now. If the stick is moved to the left, exactly the opposite control
movement will happen. To keep the model in straight flight again you will always have to give control
inputs to the opposite direction.
If the control stick is moved all the way to one direction and kept there, the model will roll alongside
its longitudinal axis. A certain amount of elevator input will be required at certain positions of this
maneuver to maintain level flight.
Elevator/Forward Pitch Function
Pulling the elevator/forward pitch stick back the elevator will move up and the model will climb. On a
helicopter the swashplate will tilt back and the model will fly backwards.
Moving the stick forward the elevator will move down and the model airplane will descend. On a he-
licopter the swashplate will tilt forward and the model will fly forwards.
Gas/Pitch Function
Moving the throttle stick forward will accelerate the motor/propeller. A model airplane will become
faster, a model helicopter will climb. If the throttle stick is all forward, the highest possible rpm will be
reached. Moving the throttle stick all way back (into idle/motor-stop position), the motor will be shut
down.
Rudder/Tail Control Function
Moving the rudder/tail stick to the right the rudder on the model will also move to the right (on the
model airplane) and the nose of the model airplane will point to the right (in flight direction). Moving
this stick to the left, the rudder will move to the left and the model will point into this direction.
