The power supply unit must never be positioned beneath the
heater or beneath water hoses.
If these conditions are met the unit is ready for service when the
mains plug has been plugged in.
Otherwise, safe operation cannot be ensured, and the device
may suffer damage.
Also pay attention to the ambient conditions listed in the chapter
“Technical Data”
.
Check the hose system between the devices for tightness before
commissioning.
Turn on the heater using the on/off switch.
The switch lights up green.
• C 1 calorimeter settings
Turn on the C 1 calorimeter and commission it according to the
operating instructions.
NOTICE
Oxygen must be connected and
the Pressure regulating valver
must be open.
On the C 1 calorimeter, select “Heater on” in the “Accessories”
menu and exit the menu by saving.
Connecting parts X/Y C 1 to the C 1.20 heater (see Fig. 14)

to the C 1.20 heater’s input.
- Connect Part
Y
to the C 1.20 heater’s output.
Connecting the water supply
NOTICE
Shut off the water supply before
disassembling the hose system.
- Connect Part
X
with your water supply (note the maximum
pressure in accordance with the “Technical Data” section.
- If you are connecting a water tap: Ensure that the C 1 return
and overflow hoses are positioned over a drain (see Fig. 14).
- Before startup, check the hoses between the devices for leaks.
Gradually turn on the water tap. After the test, turn off the
water tap.
• Connection to C 1 calorimeter and mains power cable
Connect the heater to the C 1 calorimeter with the supplied C 1
control cable.
• Starting the C 1.20 heater
Verify that the voltage on the rating plate corresponds to the
available power supply.
The plug to be used must be earthed
(grounded contact).
