〈Installing the blades〉
!
Install the cutter metal (left and right) and lower blade support onto the blade axle, and align the blades.
!
After aligning the blades, turn the lower blade adjustments handles on the left and right sides to 1/3 turn to
tighten them. (clockwise direction)
1. Lower the handle of the mower.
2. Set the blades between the front roller and rear roller, and then slowly raise the handle up. Insert the cutter
metal : OUT (left and right) so that they are aligned with the blade axle center.
3. Insert the positioning M5 screws (left and right) in position "8" or positions "6" and "10" to set the position.
(The standard setting is position "8".)
4. Tighten the M8 bolts on the cutter metal : OUT (left and
right). (Left and right sides, for a total of four bolts)
5. Assemble the blades by performing steps 4, 5, and 6 of
the removal procedure in reverse order.
■ Removing/installing the engine
〈Removing the engine〉
1. Remove the air cleaner cover and also take out the ele-
ment under the cover.
2. Remove the throttle wire anchored by the engine.
3. Remove the wire harnesses anchored by the engine.
〈Installing the engine〉
1. Install the clutch case on the engine.
2. Lift the engine, and place it on the engine stand.
3. Position the clutch case and clutch disk and so that they
are aligned, and then temporarily tighten the four M8 bolts
that anchor the engine.
4. Insert the clutch facings, and tighten the six hexagonal
socket bolts to affix the clutch guide.
5. Use the optional "centering kit" to insert the thickness
gauges.
6. Engage the clutch lever and check whether all the gaps
around the clutch disk are provided evenly.

Always stop the engine before removing/in-
stalling the engine.

After the engine is stopped, wait for the engine
to cool down.
