6.3 Connecting the unit

The AS-i voltage supplies the IO-Link master and the IO-Link supply voltage of the ports. The
AUX voltage is exclusively intended to supply additional AS-devices (daisy chain).
► Connect the AS-i voltage input to AS-i power supplies only!
► In case of cables that are longer than 25 m, take the voltage drop and the necessary
minimum supply voltage of 20 V into consideration!
► Disconnect power.
► Connect the device to the AS-i supply voltage via the M12 socket
X21 (26...31.6 V DC).

Tightening torque: 0.6...0.8 Nm.

Recommended maximum cable length: 25 m
► To connect the device, use M12 connectors with at least
protection rating IP 65 / IP 66 / IP 67 ( → Accessories ( → p. 36 )).
Optional: Supply of an additional AS-i device (daisy chain)
► Connect the device to the AUX supply voltage via the M12 socket
X21 (24 V DC (20...300 V SELV/PELV)).
► Connect an additional AS-i device to the M12 socket X22 of the
AC6002 (loop-through function).

Tightening torque: 0.6...0.8 Nm

Recommended maximum cable length: 25 m
► To connect the device, use M12 connectors with at least
protection rating IP 65 / IP 66 / IP 67 ( → Accessories ( → p. 36 )).
