2.8 ADJUST THE MEDIA THICKNESS
The media thickness adjustment dial allows you to adjust the thermal head
offset according to the media thickness. The default factory setting is 2. This
value is suitable for standard ATB and Bag Tag media.
Below process applies to nonstandard media.
1. Rotate the media thickness adjustment dial until you reach the desired
setting.
Dial Type of media
0 Direct thermal media (thin paper)
1-2 Direct thermal label media, standard direct thermal media
3-5 Thicker media such as high quality direct thermal media
6-9 Cards, tags, thicker media stock
2. Do a print test (see page 18).
3. If necessary, adjust the setting to optimize the print quality:
 If the print is too bright, select a lower value.
 If the print is too dark, select a higher value.
