Positioning mark characteristics may vary depending on the type of
media used.
The opacity of the silicone media backing or the density of the black
mark are not the same depending on the brand of the media.
To obtain optimum positioning mark sensing, the media sensor
needs to be calibrated.
Therefore, whenever loading a new type of media , the following
procedure needs to be carried out by the operator to ensure correct
printer operation.

Insert some media into the printer (see Page 22), but do not
lock the printhead .
