SECTION 1 - GENERAL
1.12 HIU DIMENSIONS, SERVICES & CLEARANCES
HIU Dimensions, Services & Clearances
The HIU connections are made on to the HIU first fix kit valve
connection tails.
These are to be connected by suitable piping diameters. Please
see table overleaf for reference.
A clearance around the unit is required of at least:
Top 100mm
Sides 20mm
Bottom of wall bracket 80mm
Front Clearance
The minimum front clearance when built into a cupboard is
25mm from the outward opening cupboard door.
600mm overall clearance is still required with a cupboard door
open, to allow for servicing.
Bottom Clearance
The bottom clearance from the underside of the wall bracket
should be a minimum of 80mm in order to allow access to the
HIU isolation valves and the CH filling loop system.
Refer to the wall mounting template for further information.
