Installing the Driver

To run the

pkgadd

utility, type

pkgadd -d diskette1

and then

press

Enter

. UNIX reads the disk and package information.

Press

Enter

Restart the computer. The system rebuilds the kernel
automatically.

Add devices created on the RAID controller to the operating
system. For details, refer to your OpenServer documentation.

Installing the Driver When You Install NetWare

To install the driver when installing NetWare:

Install and configure the controller and hard disk drives, as
described on

page 2-2

Create the driver disk, as described on

page 3-2

. When finished,

remove the driver disk.

Restart the computer, then press

Ctrl+A

when prompted to access

the ICP RAID Configuration utility. Use the ICP RAID
Configuration utility to create the RAID. For details, see

Using the

ICP RAID Configuration Utility

on page 2-4

Install and configure a secondary controller, if any.

Install the operating system according to the NetWare
documentation. Verify that the files

aacraid.ham

and

aacraid.ddi

are available on the driver disk that you created in

Step 2

During the first part of the installation select

Manual

install

mode instead of

Default

to be able to load additional drivers

later. To load additional drivers:
