Controller Reset Procedures
Mode 0 Flash
The ICP9014RO and ICP9024RO controller firmware is
upgradeable. If there is a firmware update available for your
controller, you can use the standard procedure to update the
contoller when it is working correctly. See
for more details. If an upgrade is unsuccessful and
your controller is not responding, you should Mode 0 flash the
controller to the currently installed firmware version.

Create a bootable floppy disk
To create a bootable floppy disk to use when Mode 0 flashing your
firmware:

Download the firmware version currently installed on your
controller.

Extract the files and copy each firmware image to it’s own
floppy disk.
Copy the
IFU.exe
to the same floppy disk as firmware image
disk 1.
Mode 0 flash Procedures
To Mode 0 flash the firmware:

Power off the computer and remove any cables from the
controller.

Place a shorting jumper across the Mode 0 flash connector.

Power on the computer and boot to a DOS floppy disk (see

Using the disk you created, at the prompt type:
a: ifu update controller x
