There will be no response if the command syntax is incorrect,
there is a communication error, or there is no module with the
specified address.
Description:
This command is used to read the status of the latched digital
output channels.
Syntax:
$AALS[CHKSUM](CR)

0: Reads the low latched status
1: Reads the high latched status
