As you can see, Beamware 2 has found 2 Columns on the Network. The red box indicates they have not yet been
assigned to an Array. The box will change to green after the Columns are assigned to an Array and the configuration files
have been loaded into the Array. The “not synchronized” listing means they are lacking the configuration files.
If you were to check the Layout window now, you would find that the original yellow array outline has changed to red. The
3 major sections of Beamware 2 are linked together.
The easiest way to assign one of the Columns to an Array is to grab it using the cursor and left mouse button and drag it to
one of the Column icons. Notice that the color of the Column icon changes when aColumn is assigned to it.
One issue that may arise, especially in large projects where many Columns/Arrays are involved is which Column is repre-
sented by which icon. To make sure this won’t be a problem, Beamware provides a means of sending a tone signal
through each individual column. Selecting a Column and right clicking will open the pop up menu shown below. Clicking on
Test Tone
will send a signal through the selected Column.
