DSC OPERATION

Transmitting All ships call

Large ships use Channel 70 as their ‘listening channel.’ When
you want to announce a message to these ships, use the ‘all
ships call’ function.

Push [MENU] to enter the DSC menu.

Rotate [CHANNEL] to select “

All Ships Call

,” push

[ENT].

Rotate [CHANNEL] to select the desired category, push
[ENT].

• Output power of ‘Routine’ category is 1 W (low power) only.

Push [ENT] to transmit the all ships call.

• Channel 70 is selected and the all ships call is transmitted.

After the all ships call has been transmitted, the following
indication is displayed.

Push [CLR] to exit the condition.

• Even if [CLR] hasn’t been pushed, the display automatically

changes to channel 16 after 5 sec. inactivity.
