AVOID
using or placing the transceiver in direct sunlight or in
areas with temperatures below 0°C or above +55°C.
The use of non-Icom battery packs may impair transceiver perfor-
mance and invalidate the warranty.
Even when the transceiver power is OFF, a slight current still flows
in the radio. Remove the alkaline cells or battery pack from the
transceiver when not using it for a long time. Otherwise, the in-
stalled batteries will become exhausted.

When the low battery indicator blinks, the performance of the trans-
ceiver cannot be guaranteed.
DO NOT
transmit for more than 3 sec., when operating with the
group mode and/or call ring function. Transmission in a form other
than speech is limited, and should be of a duration of less than 3
sec. as a compliance to ACA requirements in Australia.
