The SYNCHRONIZE CACHE Command ensures that logical blocks in the cache have their most recent
data value recorded on the media.

Logical Block Address

is to specify where the operation is to begin.

Ÿ

Number of Blocks

specifies the total number of contiguous logical blocks within the range. Number

of Blocks of zero indicates that all remaining logical blocks on the logical unit shall be within the
range.

Ÿ

Immed

(immediate) must be zero. An immediate bit of zero indicates that the status shall not be

returned until the operation has completed. If the Immed bit is set to one, the drive returns a Check
Condition status. The sense key shall be set to Illegal Request and the additional sense code shall be
set to Invalid Field in CDB.

Ÿ

RelAdr

(Relative Address) must be zero. The drive does not support the relative addressing. If the

RelAdr bit is set to one, the drive returns Check Condition status. The sense key shall be set to
Illegal Request and the additional sense code shall be set to Invalid Field in CDB.
